Sheri’s Women’s Bible Study – 1 Corinthians – 12 weeks In this Bible Study by Kay Arthur’s Precept Ministries we’ll explore Christian living and how we can best serve within the body of Christ. This class meets weekly on Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. Each group covers the same material, though the discussions can vary. We are women after all! Nothing Makes You Happy

Winter Wednesdays There are so many opportunities for worship in our church. This winter I’m offering the chance to learn through Christian speakers from around the world. On Wednesday nights after the JOLT meal at 6:30pm, we’ll be listening/watching a series on What Makes you Happy. Worship Ways At the same time there is a book study happening on the book entitled Worship Ways. I snuck ahead and read about half of it as of this writing. La Crescent UMC is in Swedish News

Visitors at JOLT On Wednesday night at JOLT the Olson team was up for serving dinner. We met at 4pm to prep the final pieces of the meal. At around 4:45 in walked a pair of visitors. They introduced themselves as a writer, Therese and  photographer, Linus from the Swedish Daily Newspaper. They were to do an article on how Americans in church were handling the results of the elections. Therese and Linus had travelled from The Cities to La Crosse and hoped to find stories on both sides of the river.......

Fall Festival is Just Around the Corner

If you’ve been enjoying the crisp air and the smell of falling leaves, then you are in just the right mindset for next week’s Fall Festival!  We will kick-off the event on Wednesday evening, October 25 at 5:30 with our Chili Cook-off.  Reigning champ Mandy Kistler is signed up to bring chili again this year, but don’t let that deter you from throwing your chili pot in the ring!  Other activities include games and crafts for the kids and a cake walk.  And don’t forget to throw your spare change into the jar of......
