December’s Staff Spotlight: Claire Stafki

Claire is one of the newer staff members here at LCUMC. She recently moved back to this area in May with her husband Nathan. Claire and Nathan met in college, at Southwest Minnesota State University, their freshman year. They celebrated their one year anniversary on October 7th. They have a Siberian Husky named Cooper and a cat named Jinx. She grew up in Caledonia, MN with two older sisters and an older brother. Claire’s mother, Jolene Dickson, is a La Crescent native, and her father, Bruce Eglinton, also grew up in Caledonia. Four of Claire’s six grandparents are still alive. Claire lost her grandfather, Frank Kistler, in a plane accident and her grandmother, Judy Dickson, recently lost her very long battle to cancer. Claire has one niece on her side and two nephews and two nieces on her husbands side.

She has many hobbies but some of her favorites are: crocheting, candle making, and going to the movies. Claire got into crafting through fond memories of every Christmas doing one new craft with her family. They made things like candles, soaps, bulb ornaments, and decorative boxes. She plans on keeping that tradition with her family someday.  If you would like to learn more about Claire or have any questions please feel free to stop into the office.
