Opportunities await our youth and adults to be the hands and feet of Jesus this summer and now is the time to plan on participating! A Senior High mission trip for those currently in grades 8-12 is being planned for the week of June 16-25 to New Orleans, LA. Participants will work with members of the community in soup kitchens, children’s programming, elderly nursing facilities, and clothing distribution centers. Each night there will be opportunities to explore the city, as well as time devoted to worship, prayer, and Bible Study. The cost for the trip is $600 and the deadline to reserve your spot is January 18th. Check out Youthworks for more information about our mission trip hosts.
Not sure you can commit to the New Orleans trip? Then check out our Twin Cities Serve option! Twin Cities serve will take place the week of July 10-14. Those in grades 4-7 will work on July 10-11, and those in grades 8-12 will work on July 13-14. All Twin Cities Serve participants will spend Wednesday, July 12 together at Valley Fair Amusement Park. The cost for this trip is $85.
Adult chaperones are needed for both trips. For more information, contact Mindy Kearney.
Our next mission trip meeting for all summer participants will be Wednesday, February 1 at 7:30 pm.
